• Eligible to apply — grandchild/descendant registration under operative s.5A (1996) implemented by SRO 68/2016.

  Although automatic descent (s.97) stops because the father is Grenadian by descent only, the operative s.5A under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 1996 — implemented by SRO 68/2016 (reg 4B + Part II Third Schedule, fee EC$500) — provides a statutory REGISTRATION route for a grandchild of a Grenadian, extending transmission beyond the constitutional first-generation limit. This is registration on application (not automatic), distinct from GD-DSC-01/02.

• Eligible for grandchild registration at EC$500 — vastly cheaper than CBI; this is the route to use.

  With a documented Grenadian-by-birth grandmother and a descent-only mother, the applicant is a grandchild within SRO 68/2016's s.5A descendant registration (fee EC$500 / ~US$185). This statutory registration confers full citizenship by descent-registration without the US$235,000+ CBI outlay. CBI is only the path for applicants with no qualifying ancestry; here ancestry registration is the correct, far cheaper route.

• Eligible to apply without residence — the s.5A/SRO 68/2016 descendant route is a registration on ancestry, not a residence-based naturalisation (no residence/presence/language requirement).

  GD-DSC-03 (s.5A, SRO 68/2016) is a descendant REGISTRATION route keyed to ancestry (grandchild of a Grenadian), implemented via reg 4B + Part II Third Schedule, fee EC$500, with 'Required: none of residency/language/presence/renunciation'. So the grandchild can register based on the documented grandparent link without relocating to Grenada — distinct from s.7 naturalisation which does require residence. (The exact 1996 s.5A(1) wording carries an NLR but operative status is resolved.)
