ACCOMPANYING ACQUISITION ON RESTORATION: §8 (accompanying minor acquisition) applies mutatis mutandis to acquisition of nationality through recovery/restoration (국적회복) under §9 — so the minor child of a parent who is restoring (not only naturalizing) ROK nationality may concurrently acquire nationality with the restoring parent.

• The application procedure for accompanying (수반) acquisition under §8(1), and other necessary matters, are prescribed by Presidential Decree (Enforcement Decree). Naturalization fees are charged per person but accompanying acquirers (수반취득자) are excluded from the per-mode naturalization fee.
