How to apply
- Spousal three-tier ladder (CIS 9461/2021 § 8): (i) 3+y marriage + DK spouse ≥3y DK = 6y residence; (ii) 2-3y marriage + DK spouse ≥3y DK = 7y; (iii) <2y marriage = 8y standard.
- Cohabitation (samliv) — Max 1y pre-marriage samliv counts toward marriage period.
- HJR 26 June 2024 — Marriage-legitimation interpretation under dagældende § 2 (pre-2004 cohort).
- Apply via §6 standard naturalization — Spousal pathway is reduced-residence variant.
