Overview
- A person who has resided habitually in France since age 6, who underwent compulsory schooling exclusively in State-controlled French educational establishments, and who has a brother or sister who acquired French nationality under Art 21-7 (jus soli at majority) or Art 21-11 (anticipated jus soli declaration) may acquire French nationality by déclaration à la majorité under Art 21-13-2 Code civil.
- The declaration is available at majority (age 18). It is a one-time window; it cannot be exercised before majority and the statutory text limits it to the majority moment.
- No language requirement (B2/examen civique do not apply to this declaration route). No stage condition.
- The Government retains an Art 21-4 opposition right.

The declarant must satisfy all of the following conditions cumulatively at the time of the declaration at majority:
